Kapok Tree

All our fabrics tell a story.

The Kapok tree bears a white fluffy seed that is harvested and used locally to stuff mattresses. The Dagaaba call it the cotton tree, although there’s no actual relationship between the tree and the cotton plants also grown and harvested in northern Ghana.

All fabric has passed the flammability ‘cigarette test’ (BS5852:Part 1:1979:Source 0).
