The Dagaaba people live in both Ghana and Burkina Faso and are separated by the Volta River. Since time immemorial politicians have been promising a bridge, but for now the 50 metre crossing is made by dugout canoes, and market traders and travellers will heap their goods into the wobbly craft and paddle across.
All fabric has passed the flammability ‘cigarette test’ (BS5852:Part 1:1979:Source 0).
